About me...

Like so many of my clients I've struggled with challenging life issues, some that were beyond my control, some fueled by anxiety, distorted thinking and lack of self value. Severe depression runs in my family of origin. The good news is that through counseling and intense self reflection I've found perspective that has brought tremendous growth and healing.

After 10 years in corporate America followed by several years of being a stay-at-home mom I decided to follow my passion for helping others find the same healing that I did! I embarked on an advanced degree at Eastern Michigan University which led to many amazing opportunities in the counseling field.

I've been married to my husband Stewart for 26 years and we have two adult kids, Hannah, 25 and Stew, 23.  Our "menagerie" of critters includes several rescues including dogs, cats, sheep and ducks. I'm also a Licensed Wildlife Rehabilitator and foster abandoned and injured fawns.

I love music, the great outdoors, theatre, reading, and relaxing with family, friends and animals! One more thing, I'm a Sparty by default but some of my best friends are Wolverines!
